La Querciolana is
an agri-tourism farm immersed in the green Umbrian hills. It is located near Lake Trasimeno, in the municipality of Panicale, one of the most beautiful borghi of Italy, honoured by an Orange Flag. The farm has about 30 hectares of vineyards and olive groves.
The completely restored structure of the ancient aedicule of the Madonna di Santa Maria della Querciolana (Our Lady of Milk) dates back to the 14th century.
The church was built around the aedicule in 1480 and a few years later, at the dispensation of the Bishop of Chiusi, the first mass was celebrated.
In 1497, the Benedictine monks expanded the Church and built the small Convent. As evidence of this, frescoes by Italian masters such as Bartolomeo Caporali (father) and Giovan Battista Caporali (son), a pupil of Perugino (Pietro Vannucci) still stand to this day.
The farmhouse, which has a swimming pool and a tennis court, is a place where you can spend your holidays.
You can also taste or real "experience wines" of wine, oil and other products from the farm.

THE CHURCH
A survival of the ancient past is the little church of S. Maria della Querciolana built in 1480 around the already existing votive shrine dating back to the 14th century and frescoed by Italian masters such as Bartolomeo Caporali and Giovan Battista Caporali.
